Safari 4 – “World’s Fastest Web Browser”
Apple released Safari 4, one of the fastest and most contemporary browser. The most significant feature is Nitro engine which runs JavaScript which makes it run 4.5 times faster than other browsers. It supports the modern Web standards like HTML, Advanced CSS making it to be most innovative browser. Also, it supports features like Top sites and Full history search.
Apple announced beta version for Safari earlier in February, available for Windows and Mac. This successful release for beta version tune Safari to be loved by 70 million users worldwide. Finally, Safari leaves beta and call itself to be “World’s Fastest Browser”. It is based on the most advanced technology Nitro engine which runs JavaScript around 8 times faster than IE and 4 times faster than Firefox. It also claims loading of HTML web pages 3 times much faster than IE and Firefox.
If we look at the development of the Browser engine, it supports HTML 5 for the offline technologies and advance standards for CSS, which makes new class of web application enhancing the graphics, fonts and media also. It includes the features:
- Top Sites, which helps to view the recently visited pages.
- Full history search, to view the complete text regarding the search.
- Cover Flow, for easily flipping between the documents snapshots, photographs and web bookmarks.
- Smart Address field which automatically completes the address.
- Advanced Search tool, which gives the most possible results for search.
Apple claims 150 more features for Safari.
It is the only Browser passed the Acid3 Test from Web Standard Project, which actually examines how well the browser works for web standards like CSS, XML, JavaScript that are used for web applications whereas IE and Firefox are still in process.

I started using Safari recently.. I can’t say if it is fastest or not…but I love it coz of its social media featured.. the browser is must for all the social media person out here…
Apple Safari takes more resources compared to Opera and Firefox. sometimes it also freezes so i would still stick to Opera.
