Samsung launched world’s first Solar Phone
Samsung launched a low costing solar powered phone and is expected to launch 20 more similar handsets by the end of this year. This is one of the products lining into Samsung’s low costing products.
The new handset, Samsung Solar Guru named CREST E1107 is solar powered which has a solar panel at the back of the phone which let you charge the battery. When exposed to sun for 1hour it lets to talk for 10 minutes, there by saving money and energy consumption from traditional electric charging. To get the phone fully charged it has to be exposed to sun for about 40hrs.

Samsung Solar phone is GSM handset which comes with the general features of a cell phone like camera, FM radio, MP3 ring tones and games. For consumer security, phone offers a mobile tracker which automatically alerts if the SIM card is changed or sends SOS message at the time of emergency.
Samsung Solar phone is out in Asian Markets for $59 but sounds no news of availability for western markets.
