Google introduced added feature to Google Voice service by allowing users to use their existing mobile phone number.
Up till now, to avail the Google Voice service, user need to choose a new number known to be “Google Number” which allowed features like call forwarding, call recording, text messages via emails, etc. But not all the users like choosing a new number over the existing one.
Thus Google comes up with a light version of Google Voice service which allows user to use their existing number. Users are free to choose among both a new Google number or to use the existing Mobile number for Google Voice service.
Existing Google Voice users can also add Google Voicemail to any Mobile Phone. New members would have the option to choose Google Number and its Voice Feature or Sign Up only with the voicemail service.
